tment factors of the same blood type was done. There was no significant difference between the FZC group and the NS group, indicating that the extract of Fengzhecao extract had no effect on hemolysis of RBC; in the FD group, it was significantly lower than the NS group (all P less then 0.05), indicating that wasp venom had a significant hemolytic effect on RBC; but there was no statistically significant difference in RBC count between the FCD group and the NS group, indicating that the Fengzhecao extract antagonizes the hemolytic effect of wasp venom without affecting the RBC count; however, the RBC count in the FCD group was significantly higher than that in the FD group (all P less then 0.05), further indicating that the Fengzhecao extract antagonizes the hemolytic effect of wasp venom. CONCLUSIONS Wasp venom has a significant hemolytic effect which can be effectively antagonized by Fengzhecao extract and has nothing to do with the human ABO blood type.OBJECTIVE To investigate the value of macrophage migration inhibitor factor (MIF) in early severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). METHODS (1) Animal experiment according to the random number table method, 24 male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were divided into Sham group and SAP 3, 6 and 12 hours groups, with 6 rats in each group. SAP rat model was prepared by injecting 5% sodium taurocholate via the retrograde cholangiopancreatic duct. Liver, kidney, lung, pancreas and serum samples were harvested after 3, 6 and 12 hours. In the Sham group, tissue and serum were harvested immediately after pancreas was turned over. The histopathological changes of the pancreas were observed microscopically by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. The MIF levels of serum, liver, kidney, lung and pancreas were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). (2) Clinical study an observational study was conducted. Seventy-two adult patients within 24 hours of the onset of abdominal pain (blood amylase was 3 times the normal level), and 40, all P less then 0.01]; although the levels of MIF in serum, liver and pancreas decreased at 12 hours after modeling, they were still significantly higher than Sham group. However, there was no statistically significant difference in MIF levels of lung and kidney in SAP rats compared with Sham group at 3, 6 and 12 hours after molding. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/OSI-906.html (2) Clinical observation showed that early serum MIF levels of SAP, MSAP and MAP patients decreased in order, (14.83±2.99), (10.17±2.64), and (7.21±2.47) μg/L, respectively; APACHE II scores also decreased in order, 10.41±3.74, 7.60±3.18 and 4.00±2.41 respectively. Correlation analysis showed that serum MIF levels in patients with SAP, MSAP, and MAP had a good correlation with APACHE II scores of the respective groups, showing that MIF levels was positively correlated with disease severity (SAP r = 0.51, P = 0.03; MSAP r = 0.45, P = 0.02; MAP r = 0.45, P = 0.01). CONCLUSIONS MIF can predict the occurrence of early SAP, and it is related to the severity of early AP.OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of treatment opportunity and course of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) on the curative effect of cerebral resuscitation patients after successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). METHODS Eighty-nine patients who underwent cerebral resuscitation after CPR admitted to the second department of the First Hospital of Jilin University from June 2015 to June 2019 were enrolled. All patients underwent conventional drug therapy after admission, and HBO therapy was added on the basis of conventional drug therapy at different intervention times, and all patients received at least 3 courses of HBO treatment. Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score and amplitude-integrated electroencephalography (aEEG) score on different treatment opportunity (i.e. intervention of HBO within 12 hours, 12-72 hours, 4-7 days, 8-21 days after successful CPR) and different course of HBO (i.e. 1, 2 and 3 courses of treatment) were recorded. Repeated measurement analysis of variance was used to assess whether the treatment operent groups were statistically significant (all P less then 0.01). (2) aEEG score repeated measurement analysis of variance (the Greenhouse-Geisser correction method was used) showed that the effect of course of HBO treatment on aEEG score was statistically significant (F = 96.965, P = 0.000).The interaction between the duration of HBO treatment and the timing of intervention was not statistically significant (F = 1.735, P = 0.112). Paired sample t test showed that the means of aEEG scores before HBO treatment and treatment 1, 2, 3 courses were 1.71, 2.21, 2.52 and 3.03 respectively (all P less then 0.01). CONCLUSIONS The effect of HBO on cerebral resuscitation after CPR is obvious. The longer the course of HBO is, the more significant the effect of cerebral resuscitation is. Within 21 days after successful CPR, the treatment opportunity of HBO had no significant effect on the effect of cerebral resuscitation.OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects and mechanisms of low-dose hydrocortisone on myocardial injury in early septic shock rats. METHODS Seventy-two healthy male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were divided into Sham group, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) model group (LPS group) and low dose hydrocortisone intervention group (LD group) according to the random number table method, with 24 rats in each group. The rat model of septic shock was produced by intravenous injection of LPS at 20 mg/kg. Sham group was injected with an equal amount of physiological saline. The LD group was injected 5 mg/kg of hydrocortisone via right femoral vein after model establishment. Sham group and LPS group were injected with an equal amount of physiological saline. Blood pressure and heart rate (HR) of rats in each group were continuously monitored. In each group, 8 rats were sacrificed for arterial blood gas analysis at 0, 3 and 6 hours after model establishment, and the level of plasma N-terminal B-type brain natriuretic peptide precursor (Ngroup were significantly less than those in LPS group. TUNEL staining showed that the apoptosis of myocardial cells in LPS group increased, and the apoptosis rate was significantly higher than that in Sham group [(82.41±1.57)% vs. (5.77±0.69)%, P less then 0.05]. The apoptosis rate in LD group was significantly lower than that in LPS group [(27.82±1.77)% vs. (82.41±1.57)%, P less then 0.05]. CONCLUSIONS Low-dose hydrocortisone plays a protective role in the myocardial injury of early septic shock, and its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of caspase-3 and NF-κB p65 expression, the reduction of apoptosis rate and myocardial inhibition.
